This backpack, highly technical, but equal parts design, is reflective of the Japanese fascination with paper. The cotton body is treated with a paint technique that gives it that light as air, papery feel. Its appearance changes according to temperature/humidity conditions: low temp = crisp and dry; high temp = wet and slick. Leather cording and toggle provides a secure closure, and additional folded layers with clip snaps. A side handle allows you to carry like luggage, along with a large dopp bag (also removable). As it ages, it gets better and more dimensional in appearance.
